Child Protection Community Volunteering (Children’s Champions) Project: An Independent Evaluation
This is an independent evaluation of AFRUCA’s “Children’s Champion’s Project” which was recently published by the Charities Evaluation Services (CES). This Report details AFRUCA’s work to combat the over-representation on Black/African children entering the child protection system and ending up in care.
Through our work, we have been able to reach thousands of people through our community engagement workshops across London and the South of England, the family support programme as well as training of child protection practitioners. We believe a lot has been achieved since the Project began in 2013. and we couldn’t have done the work without the your invaluable support of our funders and community members.
The project is currently funded by the Department For Education.
We look forward to reaching more members of the community and engaging in work that will significantly impact on the issues affecting Black/African children in the UK.
