AFRUCA Training: Spirituality and Culture in Child Protection

Social care practitioners are invited to join the AFRUCA Social Work team for a specialist training event.

The training will provide practitioners with the opportunity to learn about our service and how we provide culturally tailored support to the families we work with.

We will share learning from our work with parents and families around culture and spirituality. We will also share findings and analysis which helps to inform our practice and improve outcomes for Black and Ethnic Families.

You'll learn about how to refer families to our service and ways in which AFRUCA can support your work and organisation.

This is a great opportunity for all social care practitioners to develop their knowledge and skills of cultural competency.

Please note we want this training to be accessible for all, AFRUCA is a small charity and without support we are unable to deliver our projects and services to the community. Therefore, we ask all participant to kindly donate, we recommend donation of £10 or more.

Free admission for students, please provide proof of enrolment by emailing a copy of your Student Card, Unidays or University letter to socialworker@afruca.org.
